2018-2019

My First Year

For my first year, I started off with 18 diverse, kind, intelligent, unique children coming from all backgrounds.

Some of my fondest memories are having my students care for and love our class pets, Daisy and Poppy, their fascination with Prodigy and Kahoot, Flashlight Friday, nature walks, our clapping games (raw macaroni and crocodile mauri), Slapzi, the first ever Fort Party, bubble gum day, watermelon day, Fiestas, and most of all their love for learning. I always thought this would be my favorite year in history, but each year keeps getting better and better.

My Second Year

My second year was a complete game changer. Not only did I have my first experiences with working with students receiving Special Ed services, I learned so much about myself as a teacher and about CURRICULUM! Right off the bat, my schools began the steps to becoming a School of Rigor. We also adopted a new ELA Curriculum, EL Education.

Some of my favorite mempories of my second year include the relationships I build with my students, staff, Fun Fridays, Class Dojo, Slime, Toy Story, Friday Clap Outs, and Kind Time Thursdays.

Although this year got cut short in March due to Covid-19, I still made so many everlasting memories with my students.
