LOVER OF LEARNING AND TEACHING

Hello! My name is Emily Hall, and I am currently a Fourth Grade Teacher in Des Moines, Iowa. I was born in Friendship Wisconsin, and raised in Ames, Iowa. I decided to stay in Ames after High School and attend Iowa State University. I graduated with an Elementary Education Degree in 2017 with endorsements in Mathematics and Reading. I have always surrounded myself with education, teaching, and children for as long as I can remember, and I want to continue doing so for the rest of my life.
I am drawn to the rewards and challenges of teaching not only because I am able to connect with children, but because I feel that my communication and teaching skills are unique and valuable. Not only do I love to learn, I also love to teach and to share my knowledge with others.
I am especially skilled in helping students develop an understanding of concepts in the field of Mathematics.
Through mentoring, tutoring, summer camps and family events, I thrive when I spend time with children. I have found that being flexible, being understanding, and being a role-model are all the characteristics of a great teacher, and they are all characteristics that I possess. I cannot wait to make a difference in the life of a child, any child, one child at a time.
